Geraldine Smeal

Geraldine was born and raised in West Auckland and studied at Auckland University. She spent some time working and living in Brisbane, but returned home to start a family and has never looked back. Geraldine is married and has two children, a son and a daughter, who keep her very busy! She loves to read (when she gets the chance), and as a family they all love playing board games and card games and have opened a Hobby Games store in Albany to share their love of this pastime with others.
Geraldine has extensive design experience, working in New Zealand and Australia in both the Civil and Structural fields. She has enjoyed working on a variety of projects from small residential additions, through to industrial warehousing and multi-storey buildings and everything inbetween. Some of the larger projects that Geraldine is proud to have been involved with include retail centres in Albany and Mt Wellington, multiple childcare centres around the country and subdivisions for low-cost infill housing.
Geraldine joined Markplan at the start of 2013, and enjoys working with a wide variety of projects and clients. One of the advantages of working with Markplan is that it allows her to work with a project from conception to completion. Markplan has a great team and Geraldine is pleased to be part of it.
