Hunter Cole
Structural & Civil Engineer
Hunter joined Markplan as a student intern during his last year of study, and was then asked to join the Team as a Structural and Civil Engineer. Hunter originally began his career as an apprentice electrician, but after mixing and mingling with various professions on site, he quickly realised that Structural Engineering was far more his calling, so he immediately swapped to become an engineering student.
Hunter loves the challenges that engineering throws at him every day and he is keen to develop his skills and contribute to the future infrastructure of our country, be it in the residential, commercial or community projects that Markplan is involved in.
As his name suggests, he likes to hunt as well as dive and go motocross riding, and in the summer you might catch him out in the surf, or playing touch rugby as he also enjoys team sports. His partner is a physiotherapist, so he has someone on hand to iron out any aches and pains he might develop from all these sporting pursuits.
Hunter lives in Kumeu, so he’s very close to Muriwai beach and enjoys living in a semi-rural setting where he’s away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still an easy commute to work.
