Lui, originally from the Philippines, has spent most of his life in Auckland. Before joining the Markplan team in 2024, Lui worked in the engineering field as both a structural engineer and draughtsperson.
Lui's passion for engineering lies in problem-solving. Whether tackling issues on site or addressing design challenges in the office, he thrives on finding solutions. This love for problem-solving extends to his leisure time as well! As an avid Speed Cuber, Lui enjoys solving cubes at lightning speed and when he's not engaged in cubing, you might find him strumming his guitar, climbing with the local bouldering club, or immersing himself in a good film or TV series.
Lui appreciates the convenience and community feel of the North Shore area, where everything he needs is just a stone's throw away. He shares a love for travel and new experiences with his partner, an architect, and together they enjoy exploring new destinations.
