Manasa Rabukawaqa
Engineering Technician
Manasa joined Markplan in November 2020 and comes with over 16 years’ experience in the Civil and Structural Engineering field. He was born in Fiji, where he began work as a draughtsman and progressed to Project Management and QA Officer on various construction sites, one of which was the five-star Marriot Hotel project in Momi Bay, Fiji.
Manasa moved to New Zealand in March 2017 with the goal of increasing his experience in the consultancy and construction environment and it has been interesting for him to notice the many similarities between NZ and Fiji building standards.
As a happily married family man, during his leisure time Manasa likes to play touch rugby with his kids, family and friends, and he also enjoys reading, movies and helping out others wherever he can, be it supporting his village at home by raising funds for the local rugby team, or helping someone move house. He is also a whizz at making kava and Markplan’s Friday drinks sessions have recently moved into a new realm. Every now and then you might hear ‘Bula!’ emanating from the Markplan office kitchen.
