Accounts Administrator - Wānaka

Join Markplan’s Central Otago Team, based in Wānaka, as an Accounts Administrator



Are you an Accounts and Payroll Whizz looking to start your next challenge in 2026?

We’re looking for someone who is outgoing, can multitask, is organised and is great with numbers to support both our growing team in our Wānaka office and our Auckland based head office.

This is a part-time, in-office role, Monday to Friday (school hours could suit) working in a brand-new office space.

The start date is negotiable, with a preference of late-January/early February 2026.


What You’ll Be Doing

As our Accounts Administrator, you’ll help keep the office running smoothly for the Wānaka team, while also providing a key administration support role to our overall Markplan team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing accounts payable and receivable
  • Processing monthly payroll for 35–40 team members (covers Auckland, Wānaka and remote working team members)
  • Providing reception and general admin support for our Wānaka office
  • General admin support for our Auckland Head Office

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience with accounts and payroll - Xero and iPayroll experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of current NZ payroll legislation
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to do whatever is needed to keep the Wānaka office running smoothly
