Sales and Administration Support
BA
Lauren joined Markplan after many years working in communications, marketing, events and administration, mostly in the not-for-profit and community sector. Her background includes work with business associations, environmental organisations, museums and local clubs, where she has often been the person turning ideas, information and moving parts into clear, useful communication.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Massey University, majoring in Social Anthropology, which reflects her long-standing interest in people, communities, culture and the different ways we all make sense of the world.
Lauren was drawn to Markplan because of its strong reputation, the quality of its work, and the genuine care it shows for its people. She is pleased to be part of a team that values both professional standards and a good working culture.
Born in Auckland, Lauren now lives rurally north of Pūhoi, up a dirt road and surrounded by native bush. She loves nature, native birdsong, bushwalks, interesting art and music, fishing off the rocks, and time spent outdoors. Her favourite place to walk is the ecology trail at Tāwharanui Peninsula. She has been married for over 25 years and has two adult sons. Most Sundays, the whanau gathers (including her sons’ partners) to play Dungeons & Dragons, which Lauren describes as equal parts storytelling, strategy, and excellent family chaos.
